The Christ's Promise Mission is to offer a fresh start for all those willing to follow a simpler way to be. There really is a way of being God created every human being to be. This way allows, even celebrates, the full spectrum of culture and thought. This way is the way to recover from too much religion. Have you ever known anyone with this way about them? They have nothing to prove. They are comfortable in their own skin. You can set them down anywhere. Would you like to have this way of being for yourself? Jesus taught the way to his followers and offered them freedom from organized religion. We depend upon Jesus' teachings; parables; sit-downs with his disciples and his interaction with organized religion to help develop a healthy visceral response to God and to one another. This approach to scripture is explained in the Way to Be video (click the link to the right).
Christ's promise is a social network; not a governed organization. A person with a passion, for some idea for ministry, an event or for fund raising, can most often just do it. Participants at Christ's Promise are free to try ideas for which they have developed a passion. This unique approach to church culture as an organism, rather than an organization, is described in the Community video. This community video link is also to the right.
Christ's Promise utilizes a database that allows each person to control their own records; an e-mail newsletter; this website and a Facebook page. The manner in which Christ's Promise communicates the events and ministries of this very special culture is described by the Communications video.
These four videos, we hope, express to you who we are, what we are trying to accomplish, how we relate and work together as a community and how we promote, communicate and support Christ's Promise ministries and events.
